Call for Nominations
At the AGM on 20 November 2024, multiple current Management Committee members reach the end of their elected terms and will retire, creating vacancies.
As an inclusive association, ACA Qld invites nominations from any Approved Provider or their Nominated Representative with a passion for the sector and the time and capacity to contribute to the governance of the association. Committee Roles and Responsibilities are outlined in the attached document.
It is noted that a number of retiring Committee members may also seek re-election.
To nominate for election to the ACA Qld Management Committee, please complete the Nomination Form and return it no later than 4:30pm Wednesday, 6 November 2024.
To be an eligible person for election to the Management Committee a person must:
(a) be an ordinary member or an Eligible Nominated Representative of an ordinary member,
(b) hold a current ‘Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment’, as required by working members of the childcare industry, and
(c) not be ineligible to be a member of a Management Committee under section 61A of the AI Act, nor disqualified from being a director of a company under the Corporations Act 2001 (C’th) nor disqualified from being a responsible person by the ACNC.
The Nominations Committee will review all valid nominations and make a recommendation to members at the AGM, based on the desired mix of skills, experience and knowledge.
