In Australia, children and young people spend upwards of 30 hours per week in the care of educators – from early learning through to primary and secondary school.

Together with family members and carers, educators are most connected to our younger generation.

Be You is an online initiative – backed by trained support staff on the ground – that provides every Australian early learning service and school with a roadmap, building blocks, professional development and support to foster a mentally healthy learning community. It’s designed with, and for, busy educators, and it’s free.

Be You is not a static initiative; it continues to build on the best evidence and the success of previous initiatives to promote mental health and wellbeing for children and young people.

Be You works across mental health promotion, prevention, early intervention and critical incident response – everything educators and learning communities need at their fingertips, offering three key areas of support:

  • Continuous learning and professional development for educators
  • Links and pathways to tools and evidence-based programs
  • Referral pathways to support services.

Be You aims to help educators make a difference in 2019 and beyond – whether they are starting their career as an educator, bolstering their skills, or implementing strategies in their learning community. Educators can head to to start taking action within their learning community today.

We encourage you to check it out as we head in to the new educational year –
