Higher CCS for Second Child

From 7 March 2022, families with more than one child aged 5 or under in care will get a higher subsidy for their second child and younger children.

Families may be eligible if they:

  • earn less than $354,305
  • have more than one child aged 5 or under in child care.

As an early learning service provider, you don’t need to do anything to help families get the higher rate. However you can help families understand what’s changing by keeping them informed.

You may like to display the following printable materials at your service:

For more information and resources on this topic you and your families can visit the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE)’s website: https://www.dese.gov.au/higher-CCS

You can also check for the latest DESE announcements on their webpage here.
