CAECE Mandatory Reporting Workshop - CABOOLTURE

boyandteddybearsqOur college, College for Australian Early Childhood Educators (CAECE), is holding a workshop in Caboolture: "Everything you need to know about Mandatory Reporting".

Mason’s Law makes it mandatory for childcare educators to report suspected cases of child sexual and physical abuse; these much needed changes come into effect July 2017.

This interactive workshop aims to support and provide information for mandatory reporters by ensuring:

  • they are aware of their legal responsibilities to report known or suspected child abuse and neglect in Queensland
  • they know how to recognise indicators (red flags) of the different types of abuse and neglect, and
  • they know how to make a notification.
